DODAIDI (Ritual Pengantar Tidur)

Dodaidi merupakan lagu pengantar tidur yang biasa dinyanyikan orang tua di Aceh untuk anaknya. Dodaidi selain untuk menidurkan anak, ada pesan moral lain yang terkandung di dalamnya. Dalam suatu kisah, berabad lalu, lagu itu sering dilantunkan ibu susu Sultan Iskandar Muda untuk menidurkan si bayi kecil Sultan Iskandar Muda. Do do da idi adalah lagu yang lahir dari tradisi panjang.

Allah hai do do daidi (Do dari kata Doda atau Peudoda yang artinya Bergoyang, Idi atau Dodi artinya Berayun)
Buah gadung buah-buahan dari hutan
Jika anakku (perempuan) besar , tak ada yang bisa Ibu beri
aib dan keji orang-orang (orang di dunia) katakan

Layang-layang di sawah telah putus talinya
